The mission of the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club is to help each member become the best volleyball player they can be; along with supporting parents in guiding each player to become the best person they can be. The Directors, coaches, and parents are held to the highest standards regarding their respect for each player's dignity and well-being. This standard applies on and off the court; during practices and tournaments. SBVC recognizes the importance of these years for young athletes in the development of values, self-esteem and self-confidence.

SBVC is dedicated to teaching volleyball skills, providing an opportunity for young athletes, from grade school through high school, to train and participate in organized competition; and is committed to providing intensive, high quality training to those serious players who aspire to compete at the collegiate level.

SBVC strives to promote the sport of volleyball and achieve economic and ethnic diversity within SBVC.
